Introductory
Courses in BoatingBoatingPrerequisite: None This is the Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons premier course for the recreational boater. This course teaches basic safe boating knowledge in a classroom setting. Subjects covered in the course include:
Successful completion of this course qualifies you for full CPS membership and the new Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC). Boat ProPrerequisite: None This is the Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons Coast Guard Accredited course for those individuals wishing to obtain their Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC). This course covers the basic boating knowledge required by the Canadian Coast Guard in order to successfully pass the PCOC Exam. This course is best suited for hunters, fishermen, cottagers, new or about to be boaters, and for younger boaters who require the PCOC card now. For all other boaters, we strongly suggest taking the Boating course instead. Successful completion of this course qualifies you for Associate CPS membership and the new Pleasure Craft Operators Card (PCOC).
